Ecosystem Growth Strategy
Attracting Top-Tier Web3 Developers to a Privacy-Focused L1
Oasis, a privacy-enabled, EVM-compatible L1 needed to attract users but struggled with a lack of compelling DeFi, Gaming and NFT projects that could showcase its privacy technology. The chain faced two main challenges: a thin pipeline of high-quality projects and intense competition from established players like Avalanche, BNB and Polygon, all offering a comparable tech stack.
We stepped in to design and operationalise a grants programme aimed at attracting top-tier developers and promoting the network’s key differentiator- privacy. Alongside this, the chain’s Ecosystem Fund, backed by investors including a16z, Pantera and Dragonfly, provided further firepower to incentivise teams to deploy on-chain. Together, these programmes compensated developers, de-risked early deployment, and drove ecosystem growth.
To capture early-stage talent, Oasis launched accelerator programmes and hackathons, pairing funding with hands-on strategic support to guide projects from concept to mainnet. The results were tangible: a wave of successful deployments across DeFi and NFTs, supported by a clear funding strategy and a rigorous KPI-driven approach that allowed us to double down on winning plays. The Partnerships That Put
NYM VPN in Users’ Hands
NYM VPN is building a decentralised privacy app that allows anyone to browse the internet with peace of mind. Powered by Mixnet technology, even NYM themselves cannot see the data passing through their network – a breakthrough in online privacy. The challenge was clear: how to get this advanced technology into the hands of internet users at scale.
To solve this, We led strategic partnerships with leading Web3 protocols such as Near and Optimism. These ecosystems already had engaged, crypto-native communities who understood the value of decentralised privacy. By positioning NYM within these networks, we were able to connect directly with the right users, at the right time.
The results were significant. NYM not only saw rapid adoption across new audiences, but the Near partnership alone contributed to an 11% increase in NEAR’s token price, underscoring the tangible market impact.
If your decentralised application is seeking to drive adoption through ecosystem partnerships, I’d be glad to explore how we can achieve similar results.
